Octane Render 3.07 R2 plugin for Cinema 4D is a GPU base renderer

What is OctaneRender?

OctaneRender is the world’s first and fastest GPU-accelerated, unbiased, physically correct renderer. What does that mean? It means that Octane uses the graphics card in your computer to render photo-realistic images super fast. With Octane’s parallel compute capabilities, you can create stunning works in a fraction of the time.

The release of the new OctaneRender 3, brings new state-of-the-art tools never seen before in any production renderer. Features include volumetric light field primitives and deep motion buffers for high frame rate VR rendering.  The release also incorporates important industry standards for GPU rendering, including Open Shader Language (OpenSL) and OpenVDB for particle simulation.

Use OctaneRender to create images of the highest possible quality at speeds up to 50x faster than CPU-based, unbiased renderers. Attached to your editing tools? No problem! Octane supports more than 21 plugins and has a fully interactive, real-time 3D editing viewport. And with Octane 3.0 we provide integration to a beta version of the new Octane Render Cloud to scale for all of your on-demand GPU compute needs.

Volumetric Rendering

OctaneRender v3 supports rendering of particulate matter such as clouds, smoke, fog and fire with varying densities and introduces a unique native primitive type for incredibly detailed micro-surface displacement volumes and surfaces required to render photo-realistic natural and organic materials.

Deep Pixel Rendering

OctaneRender 3 adds deep pixel rendering support as well as live connecting of DCC and compositing apps through the OctaneRender for NUKE plugin.

Live Texture Baking

OctaneRender v3 supports unbiased GPU texture baking (UV or volumetric) of global illumination, spherical harmonics and 8D light fields.

Speed

Leveraging the power of the GPU, Octane can render final quality images 10x to 50x faster than CPU-based, unbiased rendering engines. That means, no more “get up and wait” in your workflow.

Interactivity

Octane’s on-screen viewport is the final render. Any changes to the scene are instantly updated on the screen allowing you to tweak any setting and view the results immediately.

Quality

Octane not only provides incredible speed on a single GPU, but it does so without compromising the quality. Free yourself from lengthy wait times and render images in extreme resolutions.

Flexibility

Octane isn’t tied to any single modelling package and supports more than 21 plugins. No matter what your workflow, we probably have a plugin for it. Want to switch between different modelling tools? We support that too with our common interchange format, .ORBX.

Materials

Octane supports subsurface light scattering (SSS), complex IOR, chromatic dispersion and absorption to create some of the best materials in the industry. Use the node editor to create complex materials from procedural textures, or quickly pull a material from our OctaneLive Material Database.

Lighting

Octane supports HDRI, mesh emitters, IES files and a sun/sky system. Rotate an HDRI file to position it in your scene, or turn any object into a mesh light by enabling the emission property of the material. Octane allows you to manipulate the lighting in a scene, however you choose.

This is a version 3.07 R2 plugin for Cinema 4D.
